Decorative Concrete Questions and answers by the Pros

Question

Decorative Concrete Questions and answers by the Pros = My existing
12X20 pea-gravel concrete patio is cracked in several places.  Is it
possible to pour another patio over the present concrete?  The new patio can
be two inches thick over the old concrete.  My townhouse is in west
Houston.
Thanks from Harv L.

Answer:
Tech-101: Harv, A resurfacing project such as what your considering on your
existing patio is a viable option if a nominal thickness of at least 2" in depth with
engineered concrete composite with a min 6% integral fiber silicate composition
is utilized.

The existing slab should have all the cracks epoxy injected and a modified
polymer bond-coat applied prior to applying your Engineered Concrete
Composite overlay which can be colored, stamped or textured to suit your
existing architecture.

An excellent company to install your decorative concrete patio overlay in
Houston Texas would be the pros at
Houston-Patio-Covers.com ....Good luck!
